National Data Center Strengthens Digital Capacity and Resilience in Angola

The Government Data Center, inaugurated on Tuesday, April 28, now benefits from the strategic support of ANGOSAT-2, ensuring robust connectivity, redundancy, and greater resilience in the delivery of digital services across the entire national territory.

This integration between terrestrial infrastructure and the capabilities of the Angolan satellite represents a significant step forward in strengthening Angola’s digital sovereignty, enabling greater efficiency, security, and service continuity, even in critical situations.

According to His Excellency Mr. Mário Oliveira, Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, “ANGOSAT-2 is a fundamental strategic asset for Angola, allowing us to ensure secure connectivity, expand access to digital services, and strengthen the resilience of our critical infrastructures, such as the National Data Center,” he stated during the inauguration ceremony in Luanda.

With this approach, the country is strengthening its ability to respond to growing technological demands, promoting digital inclusion and creating solid foundations for the development of the digital economy, with a direct impact on sectors such as education, healthcare, public administration, and innovation.
